Grease works fine on threads, but if you want to join threaded fasteners like a pro, you'll want to use anti-seize. It's a must for preventing titanium and aluminum from galvanic corrosion when in contact with a dissimilar material. Galvanic corrosion is an electrochemical process in which one metal corrodes preferentially when it's in electrical contact with another, in the presence of an electrolyte. We know of plenty of ti and alloy bits on our rides and we're certain that our sweat that collects on our bikes contain electrolytes (see any drink mix that claims to replace what we sweat out as evidence of this). When this happens, the two parts are essentially fused together causing headache and heartbreak. Eliminate this on any threaded connection by using Motorex Copper Paste Anti-Seize. Save the grease for your bearings and use anti-seize on all threaded assemblies.
