Motorex's Bike Grease 2000 is a sticky all-purpose grease that you can use on just about everything. It coats and stays on threads, metal-to-metal contact points, or any places where you want to keep moisture and grit out and friction to a minimum. It's great for bearing races used in hubs, headsets, pedals, pulleys, where speed isn't as much of a factor but durability and protection is. Its thickness probably means it isn't the best for freehub pawls, but there are other products made specifically for that. We've been using 2000 on pedal spindles, wheel bearings, seat tube/seat post junctures and more, riding in all conditions, and the grease has stayed in place and parts are still running smoothly and quietly. Motorex claims the calcium-based substance that holds the lubricant together, is highly water-repellent, extremely stable under pressure, and provides enhanced resistance to oxidation and aging. It does not attack elastomers and seals and it prevents galvanic corrosion. While this sounds rife with infomercial talk, our experience has been solid and it'll continue to be our all-purpose grease of choice.
